REGRANTING: DANCE/NYC DELIVERS FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO THE DANCE COMMUNITY IN ITS ROLE AS A REGRANTOR. MAJOR PROJECTS INCLUDE A DANCE ADVANCEMENT FUND, WHICH SUPPORTS DANCE MAKERS WITH BUDGETS UNDER $500K; A DISABILITY. DANCE. ARTISTRY. RESIDENCY PROGRAM WHICH EXPANDS RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISABLED DANCERS AND INTEGRATED DANCE COMPANIES; AND A NEW YORK CITY DANCE REHEARSAL SPACE SUBSIDY PROGRAM, WHICH MAKES AFFORDABLE DANCE REHEARSAL SPACE AVAILABLE.DANCE/NYC'S COVID-19 EMERGENCY RELIEF PROJECTS INCLUDE A CORONAVIRUS DANCE RELIEF FUND, WHICH SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS AND ARTISTS DURING THE PANDEMIC; THE CORONAVIRUS DANCE RELIEF FUND: REOPENING SUPPORT, WHICH OFFEREDCONTINUED RELIEF TO ORGANIZATIONS AND GROUPS DURING THE CITY'S REOPENING; THE CORONAVIRUS DANCE RELIEF FUND: NEW YORK STATE EDITION, WHICH EXTENDED EXISTING RELIEF EFFORTS TO ARTISTS AND ORGANIZATIONS; AND A DISABILITY. DANCE. ARTISTRY. DANCE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM, WHICH SUPPORTS DANCE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE ACTIVITY BY DISABLED DANCE WORKERS.
CONVENING:DANCE/NYC IS AMPLIFYING ITS ROLE AS A CONVENER, CONNECTING AND EDUCATING ITS CONSTITUENTS AND STRENGTHENING THE COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR DANCE. INITIATIVES INCLUDE: A SYMPOSIUM, THE ONLY GATHERING OF ITS KIND IN THE METROPOLITAN AREA; REGULAR TOWN HALLS AND ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS FOCUSED ON EMERGING FIELD DEVELOPMENTS; AND THE JUNIOR COMMITTEE OF DANCE WORKERS UNDER 30, WHICH BUILDS FIELD LEADERS.
DANCENYC.ORG:DANCE/NYC'S WEBSITE, DANCE.NYC, WHICH LAUNCHED IN 2014, IS THE "GO TO" SITE FOR DANCE PROMOTIONAL AND MANAGEMENT RESOURCES AND POSITIONS THE ORGANIZATION FOR LEADERSHIP IN SERVICE TECHNOLOGY.
RESEARCH:DANCE/NYC IS COMMITTED TO EFFECTIVE CASE BUILDING GROUNDED IN RESEARCH TO GUIDE STRATEGIC AND RESPONSIVE POLICY, FUNDING DEVELOPMENT, AND MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN THE METROPOLITAN NEW YORK CITY AREA. THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS THAT THE VALUE OF ITS RESEARCH INITIATIVES BE DETERMINED NOT BY DATA-DRIVEN FINDINGS BUT RATHER THEIR APPLICATION.
