THE COUNCIL PROVIDES VARIOUS SMALLER PROGRAMS WHICH ALL HAVE A COMMON GOAL TO PROMOTE THE ARTS ON LONG ISLAND.
GRANTS FOR THE ARTS PROGRAM - SERVES AS VITAL FUNDING CONDUITS, CHANNELING MONEY FOR ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS EACH YEAR. THE COUNCIL ALSO PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS THROUGH FUNDING WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING SEMINARS.
SUMMER ARTS FESTIVAL - A PREMIER FREE PERFORMANCE SERIES ON LONG ISLAND WHICH FEATURES MORE THAN FORTY-FOUR DANCE, MUSICAL AND THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES ON THE CHAPIN RAINBOW STAGE IN HECKSCHER PARK. THE FESTIVAL SPOTLIGHTS MAJOR NATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL ARTISTS AND ATTRACTS MORE THAN 50,000 VISITORS EACH YEAR.
