GRANT PROGRAM:RECOGNIZING THE VALUE AND THE IMPACT OF THE WORK THE ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION HAS ON OUR AGING POPULATION. IN OCTOBER 2021, THE KENDAL CHARITABLE FUNDS BOARD APPROVED A MATCHING DONATION TO THE ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION WALK IN SUPPORT OF THE KENDAL CORPORATION STAFF'S FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TOWARDS THIS WORTHY PROJECT.
PROMISING INNOVATIONS (PIF): FOR THE 2021 GRANT CYCLE, FUNDING CONTINUED WITH EXISTING NON-PROFIT CONSORTIUM RECIPIENTS FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR, WORKING TO ADDRESS NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS 60 OR OLDER, AGING IN PLACE IN AN URBAN SETTING, WHO ARE LIVING AT OR BELOW THE FEDERAL POVERTY LINE (FPL). TWO GRANTS THAT CONTINUED INTO 2021 WITH FINAL DISTRIBUTIONS AWARED TO REBUILDING TOGETHER PHILADELPHIA FOR HOME REPAIRS FOR SENIORS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA, AND KENNETT AREA COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR THEIR SENIOR SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAM.
THE UNRESTRICTED FUND/PROGRAM: THE UNRESTRICTED FUND/PROGRAM IS SUPPORTED THROUGH DONORS WHO MAKE GIFTS TO KENDAL CHARITABLE FUNDS AND CHOOSE NOT TO RESTRICT THE MANNER IN WHICH THE FUNDS/PROGRAMS ARE USED.
