TO PRESENT A WIDE RANGE OF SYMPHONIC MUSIC AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE; TO ENTERTAIN AND ENRICH THE LIVES OF THE AUDIENCE THROUGH CONCERTS, COMPETITIONS AND SPECIAL EVENTS; TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG ARTISTS AND CAPABLE MUSICIANS TO PERFORM AND COMPETE; TO EDUCATE YOUNG AUDIENCES BY FACILITATING MUSIC EDUCATIONS PROGRAMS, PROVIDING FREE SYMPHONIC CONCERTS, AND A CHILDREN'S CHORUS.

THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED AUGUST 31, 2022 WAS THE SYMPHONY'S FIRST RETURN TO PERFORMANCE SINCE THE START OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. IN FISCAL YEAR ENDED AUGUST 31, 2022, THE SYMPHONY HELD 5 CONCERTS BETWEEN JANUARY 2022 AND JUNE 2022 IN ORDER TO ACCOMODATE CHANGES IN AUDIENCE BEHAVIOR AND SLOWER-THAN- EXPECTED AUDIENCE RETURN TO INDOOR PERFORMANCES. THE SEASON WAS PLANNED AS A DIRECT OUTCOME OF THE EMERGENCE OF COVID-19 VARIANTS IN FALL 2021 AND WINTER 2022. TYPICALLY, NEARLY 100 STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE KENNETT SYMPHONY CHILDREN'S CHORUS.
