EDUCATION ASSISTANCE THROUGH PROVIDING LOANS TO MANHEIM CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES 203 AS OF SEPTEMBER 30 2023 THAT PURSUE FURTHER EDUCATION ASSISTED 1,040 STUDENTS SINCE INCEPTION IN 1957. FUNDING IS THROUGH LOCAL COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS AND INTEREST INCOME FROM STUDENT LOANS AND CASH.

AS OF SEPTEMBER 30 2023 203 MANHEIM CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES HAVE RECEIVED LOANS WITH 101 BORROWER'S ENROLLED FULL-TIME AND PURSUING UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES; 46 BORROWERS IN PAYMENT DEFERRED STATUS 2023 GRADUATE OR POST GRADUATE CONTINUING EDUCATION; AND 48 IN REPAYMENT STATUS. MANHEIM CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES APPLY FOR LOANS AND IF DEMAND EXCEEDS AVAILABLE FUNDING RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED BASED ON CRITERIA THAT INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT COMMUNITY SERVICE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES NEED AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS. 37 NEW LOANS WERE GRANTED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30 2023. TOTAL LOAN DISBURSEMENTS WERE $377,897 DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30 2023 2ND HIGHEST IN MCSLF HISTORY. AS NOTED IN PART 1 OF THIS FORM 990 FUNDING IS RECEIVED THROUGH CONTRIBUTIONS FROM MANHEIM BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITY LEADERS AND INTEREST FROM RESTRICTED FUNDS HELD AT LOCAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS OF $25,436 AND $9,443 RESPECTIVELY DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30 2023. $294,983 OF LOAN PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST PAYMENTS WERE RECEIVED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30 2023. AS THE ASSOCIATION IS ALL 100% VOLUNTEERS FROM AND ASSOCIATED WITH THE MANHEIM PENNSYLVANIA COMMUNITY EXPENSES OF OPERATING THE ASSOCIATION WERE JUST $1,567 DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30 2023 AND WERE RELATED TO SERVICES PROVIDED BY LOCAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS BORROWER CORRESPONDENCE AND WEBPAGE ON-LINE HOSTING SERVICES.
