PENNSYLVANIA PSYCHIATRIC SOCIETY IS A DOMESTIC NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO ADVANCE THE KNOWLEDGE, SCIENCE, AND PRACTICE OF PSYCHIATRY, TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF PSYCHIATRIC PRACTICE AND TRAINING, AND TO IMPROVE THE MENTAL HEALTH OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH INCREASED USE OF PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES.

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) IS OFFERED TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE PA PSYCHIATRIC SOCIETY. IN 2020, THE SOCIETY PRESENTED A VIRTUAL STATE-WIDE EDUCATION MEETING FOCUSED ON PATIENT SAFETY AND RISK MANAGEMENT, A VIRTUAL ADDICTIONS SYMPOSIUM, TWO VIRTUAL RISK MANAGEMENT WEBINARS AND A VIRTUAL RESIDENT POSTER EVENT.
OUR PENNSYLVANIA PSYCHIATRIST NEWSLETTER PUBLICATIONS ARE ISSUED TWO TIMES A YEAR, ELECTRONICALLY ON ITS WEBSITE (PAPSYCH.ORG). THE NEWSLETTER IS OFFERED FOR FREE TO THE PUBLIC VIA THE WEB. THE NEWSLETTER CONTAINS SCIENTIFIC, EDUCATIONAL & RESEARCH ARTICLES; EDITORIALS; LETTERS; AND COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS.
