ANNUAL MEETING AND EDUCATION - SIR PROMOTES THE PROFESSION OF INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY BY PROVIDING AN ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING FOR MEMBER AND NONMEMBER PHYSICIANS. OTHER SMALLER, PROCEDURE-SPECIFIC MEETINGS AND EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS ARE ALSO HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.


HEALTH POLICY ECONOMICS AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS - SIR TAKES A PROACTIVE ROLE IN PROMOTING HEALTH POLICY AS WELL AS LEGISLATIVE AND RESEARCH ISSUES PERTAINING TO INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TO KEY POLICY DECISION-MAKERS. ALSO, THE SOCIETY EDUCATES MEMBERS ON THE IMPACT THE LAWS AND REGULATIONS MADE BY KEY REGULATORY BODIES WILL HAVE ON PAYMENT OF REIMBURSEMENTS.


PRODUCTS AND PUBLICATIONS - SIR OFFERS A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE, INCLUDING THE SOCIETY'S JOURNAL OF VASCULAR AND INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY (THE JOURNAL) AND PATIENT INFORMATION BROCHURES.
