FOUNDED IN 1898, ASTM PROVIDES A FORUM FOR A BROAD RANGE OF INTERNATIONAL STAKEHOLDERS TO COME TOGETHER TO CREATE AND REVISE VOLUNTARY CONSENSUS STANDARDS. THESE STANDARDS SERVE AS BUILDING BLOCKS OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE, PRODUCT QUALITY, AND PUBLIC SAFETY, ULTIMATELY HELPING ASTM ACHIEVE ITS MISSION OF "HELPING OUR WORLD WORK BETTER." THESE STANDARDS ARE DEVELOPED BY MORE THAN 34,000 MEMBERS WORLDWIDE, WHO REPRESENT LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESSES, GOVERNMENT ENTITIES, ACADEMIA AND RESEARCH, CONSUMER GROUPS, AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS.
