LDA BROCHURES ARE ORDERED THROUGH LDA WEBSITE FOR SHIPPING COST. MOST LDA MATERIALS/ARTICLES ARE POSTED ON WEBSITE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD/PRINTING. LDA PUBLISHES A FREE MONTHLY E-NEWSLETTER FEATURING ARTICLES ON CURRENT RESEARCH, NEWS,LINKS TO RESOURCES & RESEARCHER FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES/STUDIES FOR PUBLIC. LDA ONLINE GUEST BLOGS WERE PRESENTED BY EXPERTS IN TICK-BORNE DISEASES AND PUBLISHED ON MAY WEBSITE & NEWSLETTER. IN 2022, THREE NEW PUBLICATIONS, "JOURNAL OF MEDICAL ENTOMOLOGY, HEALTHCARE (BASEL), AND THE JOURNAL OF NERVOUS & MENTAL DISEASE ACKNOWLEDGED THE LDA AS RESEARCH FUNDER, BRINGING TO 60 THE TOTAL NUMBER OF JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS TO DATE FROM LDA-FUNDED RESEARCH. FROM 1999 TO 2022, LDA ALSO AWARDED EDUCATIONAL GRANTS TO OTHER NON-PROFITS, HOSPITALS, UNIVERSITIES/OTHER ENTITIES TO PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, CONFERENCES, BILLBOARDS, PRINTED MATTER/OTHER MATERIALS ON LYME/TBD.


LA4K GRANTS: THE LYME DISEASE ASSOCIATION'S LYMEAID 4 KIDS (LA4K)FUND WAS STARTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH AUTHOR AMY TAN. IT HAS BEEN IN OPERATION SINCE 2004 AND HAS DISTRIBUTED $443,000 FOR CHILDREN ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES SINCE. THE FUND IS FOR CHILDREN WHO DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE COVERAGE OR DO NOT RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT FOR LYME DISEASE TREATMENT/DIAGNOSIS AND WHOSE FAMILIES HAVE ECONOMIC DIFFICULTIES. LDA'S LYMEAID 4 KIDS FUND GAVE 24 FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES GRANTS IN 2022.
