WOMENSAFE, INC.'S PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING: A) 24-HOUR HOTLINE WITH CRISIS INTERVENTION, PROBLEM-SOLVING ASSISTANCE, SAFETY PLANNING, AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES. B) ADVOCACY SERVICES WITH SUPPORT, ADVOCACY & REFERRALS THROUGH THE RELIEF FROM ABUSE ORDER PROCESS, AND CRIMINAL COURT PROCEEDINGS WHEN DOMESTIC OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE IS INVOLVED. ADVOCATES WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY VICTIMS TO THE HOSPITAL TO OFFER SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY. C) SUPPORT GROUPS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE OR HAVE EXPERIENCED DOMESTIC AND/OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE. D) COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND OUTREACH WHICH INCLUDES WORKSHOPS, TRAINING AND PRESENTATIONS ON DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND THE EFFECTS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON CHILDREN AT SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, BUSINESSES AND OTHER HUMAN SERVICE AGENCIES. E) SUPERVISED VISITATIONS AT A SAFE, NEUTRAL AND CHILD-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. F) TRANSITIONAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE FOCUSES ON A HOLISTIC, VICTIM-CENTERED APPROACH TO PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING SERVICES THAT MOVE INDIVIDUALS INTO PERMANENT HOUSING. THE PROGRAM STAFF PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, DATING VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND STALKING WHO ARE IN NEED OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, SHORT-TERM HOUSING ASSISTANCE, AND RELATED SUPPORT SERVICES. IT IS CRITICAL TO PROVIDE A WIDE RANGE OF FLEXIBLE AND OPTIONAL SERVICES THAT REFLECT THE DIFFERENCES AND INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF VICTIMS AND THAT ALLOWS VICTIMS TO CHOOSE THE COURSE OF ACTION THAT IS BEST FOR THEM. THE PROGRAM CAN OFFER INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES SUCH AS LICENSED CHILD CARE, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, TRANSPORTATION VOUCHERS, TELEPHONES, AND REFERRALS TO OTHER AGENCIES.
