THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES SUFFERING FROM LIFE THREATENING CATASTROPHIC ILLNESS. REVENUE COLLECTED TO SUPPORT THIS PROGRAM IS THRU FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND ACCEPTANCE OF CONTRIBUTIONS. THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THESE ACTIVITIES ARE BUDGETED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD. ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES IS REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD. THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF EXPENDITURES WHICH THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR: REIMBURSEMENT FOR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES PAID DIRECTLY TO THE FAMILIES; PAYMENT TO VENDORS FOR SERVICES RENDERED DIRECTLY TO THE FAMILIES; AND SUPPORT SERVICES SUCH AS INSURANCE PREMIUMS, MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, ETC.
