FOOD FOR LIFE HAS PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO BUYERS WHO DESIRE HOME OWNERSHIP, EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CONDUCTIUNG RETREATS, CLASSES AND SEMINARS FOR PHYSCIAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND WELL BEING. ADVISE AND GUIDE OTHER NON-PROFITS AND TAX EXEMPT ORGRANIZATIONS IN ORDER TO SHARED FOOD FOR ALL'S KNOWLEDGE AND DECADES OF EXPERIENCE IN FURTHERANCE OF FOOD FOR ALL'S PURPOSES.

FOOD FOR LIFE OPERATE VARIOUS HOUSING PROGRAMS STARTED IN THE EARLY 1990'S IN COOPERATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WELFARE, THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA. WHAT BEGAN AS A HOMELESS-SHELTER AND SOUP KITCHENS INITIATIVE HAS EVOLVED INTO AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM THAT NOW SERVICES HUNDREDS OF MEMBERS OF DISTRESSED POPULATIONS SUCH AS LOW-INCOME, SENIOR, AND MENTAL HEALTH CLIENTS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AND SURROUNDING AREAS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO BUYERS WHO DESIRE HOME OWNERSHIP. FOOD FOR LIFE PARTNERS WITH OTHER UNRELATED NONPROFIT ENTITIES SHARING THE SAME VISION AS THEM BY LEASING AVAILABLE HOUSING TO THESE INDIVIDUALS TO CARRY OUT ITS MISSIONS. THEY ALSO HAVE EDUCATIONAL ACTIIVITIES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CONDUCTING RETREATS, CLASSES AND SEMINARS FOR PHYSCIAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND WELL BEING.
