SUBSTANCE ABUSE INITIATIVE/BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INITIATIVE (SAI/BHI) - THEGOAL OF THE SAI/BHI IS TO REMOVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND/OR MENTAL HEALTHDISORDERS AS A BARRIER TO EMPLOYMENT FOR NEW JERSEY WELFARE RECIPIENTS.SAI/BHI SERVICES INCLUDE CLINICAL ASSESSMENTS, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, CARE COORDINATION, AND CASE MANAGEMENT. SAI/BHI CLINICIANSARE LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE STATE, PRIMARILY IN COUNTY WELFARE OFFICES.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS - THIS NCADD-NJ PROGRAM SEEKS TO INCREASE THE AWARENESSAND KNOWLEDGE OF RESIDENTS, POLICY-MAKERS, AND PROFESSIONALS ABOUT ALCOHOLISM AND DRUG DEPENDENCE IN ORDER TO ENHANCE PREVENTION ANDTREATMENT SERVICES IN NEW JERSEY. FAMILY VIOLENCE OPTION (FVO) PROGRAM - THE GOAL OF THE FVO IS TO CONDUCT FAMILY VIOLENCE RISK ASSESSMENTS ON A STATEWIDE BASIS FOR WORK FIRST NEW JERSEY RECIPIENTS. FVO SERVICES INCLUDE REFERENCES TO VICTIMS OF FAMILY VIOLENCE TO COUNSELING, ALTERNATIVE INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORT SERVICES.
