HOME HEALTH AIDES ARE TRAINED AND SUPERVISED CAREGIVERS WHO ASSIST THE ILL, AGED AND DISABLED PERSONS WITH HOUSEHOLD AND PERSONAL CARE HEALTH-RELATED SERVICES THAT ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE PATIENT'S WELL-BEING AND PROVIDE SERVICES NECESSARY TO PREVENT OR POSTPONE INSTITUTIONALIZATION. IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS HOME HEALTH AIDES REDUCE THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT BY PROVIDING CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH AIDS IN THE HOME. THE AGENCY PROVIDES PERSONAL CARE TO INDIVIDUALS IN THEIR OWN HOMES. OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE VOLUNTEER SHOPPERS, A FALLS PREVENTIONS PROGRAM AND CARE MANAGEMENT SERVICES.
