THE MANAGED CARE MCO/ MANAGED LONG TERM CARE MLTC PROGRAMS ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO QUALIFY FOR MEDICAID, WHO ARE CHRONICALLY ILL OR DISABLED, AND WHO WISH TO STAY IN THEIR HOMES AND COMMUNITIES. THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A GOOD QUALITY SERVICE TO ENSURE THAT CLIENTS LIVE IN COMFORT AND IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. AIDES ARE TRAINED TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL CARE FOR PATIENTS. PSC PROVIDES THE PROGRAM IN THE 4 BOROUGHS KINGS, QUEENS, BRONX AND NEW YORK. SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE 7 DAYS A WEEK/ 24 HOURS. IN FY 2022, HOME CARE SERVICES WERE PROVIDED FOR APPROX. 400 CLIENTS.
THE CONSUMER DIRECTED PERSONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM CDPAP IS A STATEWIDE MEDICAID PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES AN ALTERNATIVE WAY OF RECEIVING HOME CARE SERVICES TO MANAGED LONG TERM CARE MLTC AND MANAGED CARE MCO CLIENTS AUTHORIZED THROUGH THE MEDICAID MANAGED CARE PLAN PROVIDER THAT CLIENTS ARE ENROLLED WITH. THE AGENCY PROVIDES CDPAP SERVICES WITHIN THE 5 BOROUGHS OF NYC AND LONG ISLAND, NASSAU COUNTY. CDPAP SERVICES IS PROVIDED TO CHRONICALLY ILL PERSONS OR PHYSICAALY DISABLED CONSUMERS RECEIVING HOME CARE SERVICES UNDER THE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM GREATER FLEXIBILITY, AND FREEDOM TO CHOOSE.
INFUSION THERAPY PROGRAM BLUE PARASOL NURSING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FOR PATIENTS IN NEED OF HOME INFUSION NURSING. THE PROGRAM IS FOR ALL AGES IN THE 5 BOROUGHS, AND NASSAU COUNTY. SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE 24 HOURS/DAY 7 DAYS/ WEEK/ 365 DAYS/YEAR. BLUE PARASOL HOLDS 8 PHARMACY CONTRACTS AND SERVICES 708 PATIENTS IN FY 22 AND PROVIDED 6,250 VISITS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR.
