TO BETTER THE LIVES OF COMPANION ANIMALS AND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM. THROUGH ADOPTION PROGRAMS, SPAY AND NEUTER CLINIC, VOLUNTEER AND FOSTER NETWORKS, BROTHER WOLF ANIMAL RESCUE IMPACTS THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF ANIMALS EACH YEAR.

ADOPTIONS THROUGH BROTHER WOLF ANIMAL RESCUES ADOPTION PROGRAM, ANIMALS RECEIVE NEEDED MEDICAL CARE AND SUPPORT BEFORE BEING ADOPTED OUT INTO LOVING HOMES. IN 2023, BROTHER WOLF PLACED 1585 ANIMALS INTO ADOPTIVE HOMES. THESE ANIMALS COME TO BROTHER WOLF FROM FAMILIES WHO CAN NO LONGER CARE FOR THEM (40% OF INTAKES) AND FROM OVERCROWDED SHELTERS IN THE WESTERN NC REGION (60% OF INTAKES) WHERE ANIMALS FACE EUTHANASIA SIMPLY DUE TO SPACE CONSTRAINTS. IN 2023, BROTHER WOLF TRANSFERRED IN 907 ANIMALS FROM OVERCROWDED SHELTER PARTNERS. IN ADDITION, BROTHER WOLF TOOK IN 746 ANIMALS FROM MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY WHO WERE NO LONGER ABLE TO KEEP AND/OR PROVIDE FOR THEIR ANIMALS.
FOSTERING BROTHER WOLF ANIMAL RESCUES ROBUST FOSTERING PROGRAM, WHICH CONSISTED OF 273 ACTIVE VOLUNTEER FOSTER HOMES IN 2023, ENABLES THE ORGANIZATION TO INCREASE ITS LIFESAVING CAPACITY BY CARING FOR A LARGE NUMBER OF ANIMALS IN A HOME SETTING. ABOUT 70% OF ANIMALS IN BROTHER WOLFS CARE IN 2023 SPENT TIME IN A FOSTER HOME. BROTHER WOLFS TRAINED FOSTER PARENTS ENABLE THE ORGANIZATION TO TAKE ON SPECIAL CASES (VERY YOUNG KITTENS AND PUPPIES, PREGNANT, SICK, ELDERLY, TERMINALLY ILL, HEARTWORM POSITIVE, FEARFUL ANIMALS, ETC.) AND PROVIDE THEM EXPERT CARE. IN 2023, BROTHER WOLF FACILITATED 1,468 FOSTER HOME PLACEMENTS.
LOW-COST SPAY-NEUTER MOBILE CLINIC OVERCROWDED SHELTERS EXIST THROUGHOUT NORTH CAROLINA. TO ADDRESS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM OF ANIMAL OVERPOPULATION, BROTHER WOLF ANIMAL RESCUES MOBILE SPAY-NEUTER CLINIC OFFERS HIGH-QUALITY, LOW-COST SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES. IN 2023, BROTHER WOLFS SPAY- NEUTER CLINIC PERFORMED 2,383 SPAY-NEUTER SURGERIES, AND ADMINISTERED 795 LOW-COST OR FREE VACCINATIONS AND 525 PET MICROCHIPS.
