IT'S MISSION IS TO ELEVATE INDUSTRY PERFORMANCE AND INCREASE COMMERCIAL VALUE FOR END-OF-SERVICE AIRCRAFT AND TO IMPROVE THE MANAGEMENT OF END-OF-LIFE AIRCRAFT IN TERMS OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SUSTAINABLE PERFORMANCE.

CONTINUED MAINTENANCE OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS AND INDUSTRY STANDARD FOR DISASSEMBLY OF AIRCRAFT, ENGINE, AND APU'S, AND AUDITING DEVELOPMENT OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS AND INDUSTRY STANDARD FOR RECYCLING OF AIRCRAFT METALS AND MATERIALS AND AUDITING STANDARDS. THIS INCLUDES NEW FUTURE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT WHICH SUPPORTS EFFORTS TO RECYCLE THE ENTIRE AIRCRAFT ENGINE OR APU SO ALL MATERIALS ARE REUSED AND ZERO IMPACT ON LANDFILLS. IN 2012 AFRA ADDED RECYCLING BMP TO THE ACCREDITATION PROGRAM.
THE AFRA ANNUAL MEETING IS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATIONAL EVENT FOR THE AIRCRAFT FLEET RECYCLING INDUSTRY. AFRA PRESENTS WORKSHOPS ON THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN THE INDUSTRY. THE 2021 ANNUAL MEETING WAS HELD VIRTUALLY DUE TO THE ONGOING COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WHICH CAUSED SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS WORLDWIDE.
