UNIFYING MEDITATION INSTITUTE 2021 ACTIVITIES: UMI CONTINUES TO ADJUST TO THE NEW CHALLENGES THAT FACE EVERYONE DUE TO COVID. WE HAVE CONTINUED WITH THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS WHILE MAINTAINING ALL COVID PROTOCOL: EVERY SUNDAY THERE IS A ZOOM TEACHING AND MEDITATION THAT TAKES PLACE AT 3PM MT. OUR ATTENDANCE TO THIS EVENT CONTINUES TO BE BETWEEN 20 AND 45 MEDIATORS. THE ZOOM HAS ALLOWED US TO INCLUDE PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONS WHICH HAS WORKED OUT REALLY WELL. RECENTLY WE OPENED UP THIS MEETING TO LOCALS WHO WANTED TO JOIN IN PERSON. ALTHOUGH SOME PEOPLE HAVE SHOWED UP IT IS MUCH MORE POPULAR AS A ZOOM THING. THERE IS AN IN-DEPTH CLASS THAT IS OFFERED 2 SATURDAYS OF EACH MONTH. THE SUBJECT IS THE SEMETIC TEACHINGS THAT FORM THE BASIS OF OUR MEDITATION. THIS CLASS IS OPEN ON ZOOM AND AS OF RECENT IN PERSON ALSO. WE HELD A LEVEL TEACHING BACK EAST THIS PAST SUMMER, THAT LASTED 2 WEEKS AND WAS ATTENDED BY 20 PEOPLE. THIS REQUIRED PEOPLE STAYING IN RESIDENCE FOR ALL THE TEACHINGS AND MEALS. WE ALSO OFFERED A TEACHER TRAINING COURSE THAT LASTED 5 WEEKS AND WAS ATTENDED BY 3 PEOPLE. IN ADDITION TO ALL THE ABOVE, THERE WERE INDIVIDUAL MEETINGS AND MEDITATION THAT TOOK PLACE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS A ONE ON ONE. USUALLY THESE MEETINGS TOOK PLACE SEVERAL TIMES PER MONTH.
WE CONTINUE TO ADVERTISE OUR LOVE FUND PROGRAM. THIS YEAR, THERE WAS ONE FAMILY THAT WAS THE RECIPIENT OF 1500.00 TO HELP THEM DURING A HARDSHIP THAT WAS A RESULT OF LOSING A JOB. THE MONEY HELPED THEM PAY BILLS UNTIL HE FOUND A NEW JOBWHICH HE DID
