THE JEWISH COMMUNITY RELATIONS COUNCIL (JCRC) IS A VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION OF REPRESENTATIVES OF 32 LOCAL JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS & CONCERNED INDIVIDUALS. JCRC IS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE CONSENSUS & COOPERATION IN THE JEWISH COMMUNITY ON ISSUES OF COMMON CONCERN ON THE INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL, STATE, & LOCAL LEVELS. THE JCRC ALSO WORKS TO PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING AND HARMONIUS RELATIONS AMONG ST. LOUIS' VARIED RELIGIOUS, CIVIC, & ETHNIC GROUPS THROUGH DIALOGUE, JOINT PROGRAMMING, & COALITION ACTIVITIES. JCRC CREATES CONSENSUS & LEADS ADVOCACY EFFORTS IN THE ORGANIZED JEWISH COMMUNITY, ENSURING THAT OUR VOICES ARE AMPLIFIED & HEARD. WE BUILD BRIDGES WITH OTHER FAITH, ETHNIC, CIVIL, AND POLITICAL GROUPS THAT SHARE OUR PASSION FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE, FORGING RELATIONSHIPS BASED ON THE ISSUES OUR COMMUNITY CARES ABOUT MOST.
THE JEWISH FUND FOR HUMAN NEEDS WORKS TO FULFILL THE COMMANDMENT OF CHARITY BY AWARDING MODEST GRANTS TO SMALL SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCIES HELPING THOSE IN NEED IN THE ST. LOUIS REGION. THE GRANTS HELP PROVIDE DIRECT SERVICES TO THOSE IN NEED OF FOOD, HOUSING, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT & OTHER ESSENTIAL HUMAN NEEDS.
