MOUNT TAMALPAIS COLLEGE OFFERS A 61-UNIT ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE IN WRITING, MATH, SCIENCE, AND THE HUMANITIES, AS WELL AS A FOUNDATIONAL FIVE-COURSE COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM IN MATH AND WRITING, YEAR-ROUND ACADEMIC SUPPORT, AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN STUDENTS ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL SKILLS. WE PROVIDE 20 COLLEGE COURSES EACH SEMESTER THAT OFFER STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE THE COURSEWORK NECESSARY FOR TRANSFER TO ANY CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY OR UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA CAMPUS. THE SOLE REQUIREMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IS A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED. NO STUDENT IS EXCLUDED BASED ON AGE, LENGTH OF SENTENCE, COMMITMENT OFFENSE, OR TIME LEFT TO SERVE. COLLEGE PROGRAM: MOUNT TAMALPAIS COLLEGE IS AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OFFERING AN ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE AND OFFERS APPROXIMATELY 20 COLLEGE LEVEL AND COLLEGE PREP CLASSES EACH SEMESTER. IN ADDITION, THE COLLEGE PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING HIGHER EDUCATION IN PRISONS.
