PARTNER GRANTS AND SPONSORSHIPS - LAHASH PARTNERED WITH SIX EAST AFRICAN ORGANIZATIONS IN 2021. THESE ORGANIZATIONS CARE FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. THESE CHILDREN HAVE LOST ONE OR BOTH PARENTS AND ARE LIVING IN AREAS WITH HIGH HIV/AIDS RATES AND/OR LIVING IN AREAS AFFECTED BY ARMED CONFLICT. LAHASH FACILITATED SPONSORSHIPS FOR 403 CHILDREN IN TANZANIA, 17 CHILDREN IN KENYA, 4 CHILDREN IN UGANDA AND 71 CHILDREN IN RWANDA (TOTAL FOR 495 CHILDREN). THESE GRANTS PROVIDED SCHOOL FEES, SPIRITUAL EDUCATION, FOOD, SHELTER, AND CLOTHING FOR THE CHILDREN.
TRAVEL EXPENSES - LAHASH ALERTS, TRAINS, AND FACILITATES VOLUNTEERS TO OUR PARTNER LOCATIONS ACROSS EAST AFRICA. THESE VOLUNTEERS EARN ABOUT THE LOCAL PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS IN THE REGION AS WELL AS PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE FIELDS OF MEDICINE, JOURNALISM, CHRISTIAN EDUCATION, FINANCES, STAFF DEVELOPMENT, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND SOCIAL SERVICES.
