SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE STATEWIDE COORDINATION OF BOTH THE LA 2-1-1 AND ALICE PROJECT (ASSET LIMITED INCOME CONSTRAINED EMPLOYED) AND SERVICE AS THE PRINCIPAL COMBINED FUNDRAISING ORGANIZATION (PCFO) FOR THE LOUISIANA STATE COMBINED CHARITABLE CAMPAIGN.

LOUISIANA 211 IS A STATEWIDE NONPROFIT NETWORK PROVIDING FREE INFORMATION AND REFERRAL TO LOUISIANA CITIZENS, 24/7, INCLUDING TIMES OF DISASTER. ADDITIONALLY, LOUISIANA 211 REFERRAL AND CARE COORDINATION CENTERS PROVIDE CLOSED LOOP CLIENT CARE SERVICES IN ALL REGIONS OF LOUISIANA. LOUISIANA ASSOCIATION OF UNITED WAYS SERVES AS THE STATEWIDE PROJECT DEVELOPER FOR LOUISIANA 211. THIS STATEWIDE NETWORK PARNTERS WITH THE LOUISIANA BOARD OF REGENTS AND THE LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS. THE LOUISIANA 211 STATEWIDE NETWORK ALSO PROVIDES LICENSING ACCESS TO ITS STATEWIDE COMPILATION OF COMMUNITY RESOURCE DATA MAINTAINED BY NETWORK PARTNERS.
THE LOUISIANA ASSOCIATION OF UNITED WAYS (LAUW) IS AN ASSOCIATION OF EIGHT REGIONAL UNITED WAYS SERVING 53 PARISHES THROUGHOUT LOUISIANA. TOGETHER, MEMBERS WORK TO TACKLE COMMON CHALLENGES OUR ENTIRE STATE FACES. MEMBERSHIP SERVICES ARRANGES FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND FACILITATIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT TO ADVANCE THE IMPACT AND ENGAGEMENT WORK OF LOCAL UNITED WAYS. LAUW WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE UNITED WAY COUNCIL OF STATES AND UNITED WAY WORLDWIDE TO PROVIDE BENEFITS TO MEMBERS.
LAUW WORKS WITH THE NATIONAL UNITED FOR ALICE AND UNITED WAYS THROUGHOUT LOUISIANA TO COORDINATE THE ALICE PROJECT IN LOUISIANA. IN THIS ROLE, LAUW ALSO ARRANGES THE PRODUCTION OF THE ALICE REPORT FOR LOUISIANA IN COLLABORATION WITH LOUISIANA UNITED WAYS. THE ALICE REPORT: A STUDY OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN LOUISIANA GIVES AN IDENTITY AND VOICE TO PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD YET STILL STRUGGLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET - PEOPLE WE CALL ALICE: ASSET LIMITED, INCOME CONSTRAINED, EMPLOYED. ALICE LIVES IN EVERY PARISH IN LOUISIANA.
AS PER ACT 501 OF THE 2012 LA LEGISLATIVE SESSION (LAC 4: III CHAPTER 11), LAUW SERVES AS THE PRINCIPAL COORDINATING FUNDRAISING ORGANIZATION (PCFO) FOR THE LOUISIANA STATEWIDE COMBINED CHARITABLE CAMPAIGN (LA SCCC). LAUNCHING IN SEPTEMBER 2014, THIS ANNUAL CAMPAIGN REACHES MORE THAN 35,000 STATE EMPLOYEES AND PROVIDES EMPLOYEES OPTIONS TO GIVE THROUGH PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. APPROVED HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE CHARITIES ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THESE DESIGNATED DONATIONS. LAUW WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE OFFICE OF UNIFORM PAYROLL IN THE LA DIVISION OF ADMINISTRATION TO CARRY OUT THIS CAMPAIGN.
