AS A CO-OP ART GALLERY WE PROVIDE MEMBERSHIP AND GUEST ARTISTS A PROFESSIONAL VENUE TO DISPLAY AND SHOW THEIR WORK. WE SUPPORT AND PROMOTE LOCAL ARTISTS FOSTER EXPRESSION CREATE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE NETWORKING FOR ARTISTS APPRECIATORS AND THE LAKEWOOD COMMUNITY. WE HAVE NEW WORK ON DISPLAY ON AVERAGE EVERY THREE WEEKS. IN 2021 NEXT GALLERY HOSTED 39 DIFFERENT SHOWS. THESE SHOWS FEATURED 26 SOLO SHOWS 12 GROUP SHOWS INCLUDING TWO INVITATIONAL SHOWS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ONE SHOW FEATURING MIDDLE SCHOOL SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT ARTWORK AND A SOLO SHOW FROM A GUEST ARTIST. ATTENDANCE VARIES FROM 10S TO 100S EVERY WEEKEND. ANNUAL RENT & UTILITIES INSURANCE.
NEXT GALLERY IS A MEMBER OF THE 40 WEST ARTS DISTRICT. 40 WEST IS A CREATIVE DISTRICT IN LAKEWOOD CO MANAGED BY AN NON-PROFIT ALSO A VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION WITH A COMMITMENT TO INSPIRING CREATIVITY AND LOCAL PRIDE IN COMMUNITY. WE SUPPORT THEIR INITIATIVE BY PARTICIPATING IN CULTIVATING ARTISTIC ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNITY EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES. THESE EVENTS INCLUDE FIRST FRIDAYS THE 40 WEST ART LINE COLFAX ART FEST MURAL FEST PUBLIC ART AND MAKE AND TAKES AS PART OF ART CRAWLS. OUR MEMBERS SIT ON COMMUNITY BOARDS ATTEND LOCAL COUNCILS AND PARTICIPATE IN GALAS AND FUNDRAISERS TO BOOST COMMUNITY. OPENING EVENT EXPENSES AND WEBSITE.
NEXT PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN ARTISTS AND THE PUBLIC THROUGH DIRECT ENGAGEMENT WITH ORIGINAL WORKS OF ART. NEXT HOSTED TWO INVITATIONAL SHOWS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS.
OUR GALLERY MEMBERS SHARE A VISION OF PURSUING CONTINUED GROWTH IN THEIR OWN WORK AND SUPPORTING FELLOW MEMBERS IN THEIR ARTISTIC JOURNEY. WORKS IN ALL TYPES OF MEDIA AND MATERIALS ARE DISPLAYED TO BOTH ENCOURAGE INSPIRATION TO FELLOW ARTISTS AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT ARTISTIC EXPRESSION. OUR GALLERY MEET MONTHLY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS AFFAIRS PLAN FUTURE EVENTS AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER CREATIVELY. NEXT OFFERS MENTORSHIP MEMBERSHIP TO YOUNG ARTISTS THAT DESIRE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SHOWING IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT AND GROWING THEIR PERSONAL EXPRESSION. MENTORSHIP MEMBERSHIP IS GIVEN A REDUCED RATE AND PAIRED WITH AN EXPERIENCED MEMBER. MENTORED MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN GROUP SHOWS AND EVENTUALLY APPLY FOR FULL MEMBERSHIP.
