IN 2022, MAPS MCRC THROUGH ITS PORTFOLIO OF SERVICES TOUCHED 120,000+ LIVES. 7500+ FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED FOOD ASSISTANCE. 6000+ HOT MEALS WERE SERVED AT LOCAL SHELTERS. OVER $500K WAS DISBURSED THROUGH THE EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. MAPS-MCRC HAS 12 BEDS ACROSS 6 TRANSITIONAL HOUSING UNITS FOR SINGLE WOMEN. THE MCRC MEDICAL CLINIC PROVIDED 450+ INDIVIDUALS WITH FREE MEDICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLNESS CONSULTATIONS. THE MCRC LEGAL CLINIC PROVIDED FREE LEGAL COUNSEL FOR 100+ INDIVIDUALS. 120+ MOTEL NIGHTS WERE PROVIDED FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHO NEEDED A SAFE PLACE TO STAY FOR THE SHORT TERM.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDING MAPS NATURE, OUTDOORS, AND WILDLIFE (NOW), MAPS INTERFAITH & OUTREACH, MAPS AMERICAN MUSLIM EMPOWERMENT NETWORK (AMEN) AND MAPS YOUTH PROGRAMS.
WE OFFERED REGULAR AND SPECIAL WORSHIP SERVICES AND EVENTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS, SUCH AS THE 5 DAILY PRAYER SERVICES, FRIDAY, AND EID SERVICES, AND IFTAR PROGRAMS DURING THE FASTING MONTH OF RAMADAN. WE ALSO ORGANIZED EVENTS THAT FOSTERED INTERFAITH DIALOGUE AND HARMONY WITH OUR NEIGHBORS AND OTHER RELIGIOUS GROUPS.
MAPS EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OFFERS VARIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAMS TO DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS. CHILDRENS 3 YEARS OR YOUNG ARE OFFERED PRECIOUS HEARTS MOM & TOT- A PLACE FOR MOMS AND THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN TO LEARN AND SOCIALIZE. PRECIOUS HEARTS PRESCHOOL AND PREK IS A COOPERATIVE LEARNING SCHOOL WHERE WE INTRODUCE OUR NEXT GENERATION TO ESSENTIAL LEARNING AND PREPARE THEM FOR TRANSITION TO KINDERGARTEN.KIDS BETWEEN 4 AND 12, WE OFFER MANY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDING SUNDAY SCHOOL, QURAN CLASSES, ISLAMIC STUDIES, YOUTH SEMINARY AND UNDERSTANDING QURANIC ARABIC. FOR TEENS AND ADULTS, WE OFFER ARABIC LANGUAGE, QURAN TAFSIR CLASSES, CLASSES FOR NEWLY REVERTS AND OTHERS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING ISLAM, YOUNG PROFESSIONAL QURAN STUDY, AND QURAN MEMORIZATION. WE HAD MORE THAN 1,700 STUDENT REGISTRATIONS ACROSS OUR EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
