SOCIAL SERVICES - THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EMERGENCY SOCIAL SERVICES INCLUDING A HEALTHY FOOD PANTRY, HYGIENE ITEMS, UTILITY ASSISTANCE, AND SOCIAL SERVICES NAVIGATION. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, WE FED 13,665 FAMILIES COMPOSED OF 23,908 INDIVIDUALS, AND PROVIDED 921 CLIENTS WITH NAVIGATION SERVICES. WE ALSO PROVIDED 251 VOUCHERS TO OUR THRIFT STORE FOR ESSENTIAL NEEDS.
COUNSELING SERVICES - THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS AFFORDABLE PERSON-CENTERED AND TRAUMA-INFORMED COUNSELING TO OUR COMMUNITY WITH SUPPORT OF INTERN AND VOLUNTEER COUNSELORS. THESE COUNSELORS ARE EITHER LICENSED IN THE STATE OF OREGON OR UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF A COUNSELOR WHO IS LICENSED IN THE STATE OF OREGON. WE PROVIDE EXCELLENT TRAINING AND SUPERVISION TO INTERNS TO SUPPORT THEIR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH THROUGH ONGOING CONSULTATION IN THE FORM OF WEEKLY GROUP SUPERVISION, INDIVIDUAL SUPERVISION, SESSION SHADOWING, AND WORKSHOP-STYLE SEMINARS. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, WE PROVIDED SERVICES TO 339 CLIENTS, INCLUDING 249 INDIVIDUALS, 100 FAMILIES/COUPLES, AND 42 INDIVIDUALS IN GROUP THERAPY.(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)IN ADDITION TO THE AMOUNT OF PROGRAM COSTS SHOWN ABOVE, THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $471,508 OF IN-KIND DONATED SERVICES WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED UNDER IRS FORM 990 GUIDELINES. PLEASE REFER TO NOTE 13 IN OUR AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
THRIFT STORE - THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A THRIFT STORE IN THE PORTLAND METROPOLITAN AREA, THE NET EARNINGS OF WHICH SUPPORT DIRECT SERVICES TO COUNSELING AND SOCIAL SERVICES CLIENTS. THE STORE ALSO FUNCTIONS AS A CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS SUPPLY CENTER FOR SOCIAL SERVICE CLIENTS.
