TO SUPPORT SCHOOL CHILDREN AND YOUTH-AT-RISK IN THE SONOMA VALLEY AND SURROUNDING AREAS BY PROVIDING AN UNEQUALED OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE THAT FORWARDS THEIR LEARNING AND GIVES THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO STEP UP TO THE BEST THAT THEY CAN BE IN THEIR COMMUNITY.

THE ORGANIZATION'S CHALLENGE COURSE HAS BEEN OPERATED AND MAINTAINED TO PROVIDE TEAM BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES AND ROPES COURSE EVENTS FOR THE AREA'S COMMUNITY, FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES. IN 2022, WE PROVIDED OUTDOOR EDUCATION, CHALLENGE COURSE, AND TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES FOR OVER 3,000 INDIVIDUALS ON 107 COURSE DAYS. OUR GROUPS INCLUDED:AT RISK STUDENTS FROM SEVERAL SCHOOLSGIRLS AND BOYS FROM MUIR WOODS TREATMENT CENTERHOPE HOUSE (REHAB FACILITY)GIRL SCOUT GROUPSBOY SCOUT GROUPSMULTIPLE SPORTS TEAMS - MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL, AND UNIVERSITYCHAMBERS OF COMMERCESONOMA COUNTY FIRE ACADEMYSONOMA MENTORING ALLIANCEFIELDS OF OPPORTUNITY (NAPA FARMWORKERS)SONOMA COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATIONUNCOMMON LAW (NONPROFIT LAW OFFICE)US PROBATION DEPARTMENTSEVERAL UC SCHOOLS INCLUDING UC DAVIS AND UC BERKELEYSCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS FROM SEVERAL SCHOOL DISTRICTSCOMMUNITY AND LEADERSHIP GROUPS FROM SANTA ROSA, NAPA, AND SONOMA.IN ADDITION, WE CONTINUED HOSTING A 6 WEEK SUMMER CAMP - PROVIDING OUTDOOR EDUCATION FOR 222 KIDS, 45 OF WHICH RECEIVED FULL OR PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND.FINALLY, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED SUBSTANTIAL LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE TO KEEP THE COURSE WELL PROTECTED FROM FIRE AND IN STATE-OF-THE-ART CONDITION.
