COMMUNITY GARDEN AND WAYFINDING PROGRAM TO IMPROVE THE CITY'S RAILROAD DISTRICT. IMPROVEMENTS WERE AND MORE SIGNS WERE INSTALLED TO SHOW VISITORS HOW TO FIND LOCATIONS AND EVENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY. PART OF THESE COMMUNITY UPGRADES ARE VISUAL ART MURALS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY.
THE USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AWARDED A GRANT TO MAIN STREET LAST YEAR TO ASSIST THE NEEDS OF COMMUNITY BUSINESSES WITH TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, TRAINING NEEDS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES TO IMPROVE THEIR BUSINESSES. IN 2023 NEW CONSTRUCTION PLANS WERE MADE TO EXPAND A BUSINESS AND TO ASSIST A DOWNTOWN BUSINESS CALLED SWEET SPOT.
