IN 2021, ECOLOGY IN CLASSROOMS AND OUTDOORS (ECO) ENGAGED 1,290 STUDENTS IN-PERSON FROM CORBETT, PORTLAND PUBLIC, BEAVERTON, AND SIUSLAW SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN CLASSROOMS AND LOCAL NATURAL AREAS. VIRTUAL FIELD EXPERIENCES AND LESSONS ENABLED AN ADDITIONAL 540 STUDENTS IN PORTLAND PUBLIC AND OREGON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO EXPLORE THEIR LOCAL WATERSHEDS. ECO ALSO CREATED CLASSROOM-READY PLACE-BASED UNITS DESIGNED TO INTEGRATE SCIENCE CONCEPTS ACROSS DISCIPLINES. ECO DEVELOPED AND DELIVERED 14 UNITS TO OREGON SCHOOLS AND THE TUALATIN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT ENGAGING 16 TEACHERS AND 450 STUDENTS ON TOPICS INCLUDING POLLINATORS, NATIVE AND INVASIVE PLANTS, BEAVER, BIRDS AND THE WATER CYCLE. ECO ADVENTURES VIDEOS ARE INCLUDED IN THE UNITS AND CAN BE UTILIZED BY TEACHERS TO SUPPORT THE SCIENCE CONTENT DELIVERY.IN ADDITION, A NEW INITIATIVE - ECO'S CLIMATE ACTION EDUCATION PROGRAM - WAS DEVELOPED AND DIRECTLY REACHED 10 TEACHERS AND 700 STUDENTS TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THE IMPACTS OF A CHANGING CLIMATE AND WHAT ACTIONS THAT THEY CAN TAKE TO ADDRESS THIS IMPORTANT ISSUE. OUR FREE LEARN-AT-HOME LESSONS ATTRACTED MORE THAN 350 MEMBERS WHO EXPLORED 12 DIFFERENT ECOLOGY LESSONS TO BE USED IN ANY SETTING.
