THE BREAST CANCER FUND OF OHIO SUPPORTS ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT OHIO THAT HELP WOMEN AND MEN WHO ARE COPING WITH THE DAY-TO-DAY CHALLENGES OF LIVING WHILE BEING TREATED FOR BREAST CANCER. 100 PERCENT OF THE FUNDS RAISED STAY IN OHIO. YOUR SUPPORT OF THE BREAST CANCER FUND OF OHIO PROVIDES THESE CRITICAL SERVICES TO WOMEN AND MEN IN NEED: TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM TREATMENTS TEMPORARY SUPPORT OF LIVING EXPENSES SUCH AS HOUSING, UTILITES, AND FOOD CHILD CARE DURING DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT PROCEDURES JOB TRAINING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES NOT COVERED BY A THIRD PARTY ASSISTANCE WITH TREATMENT COSTS, PRESCRIPTIONS, AND CO-PAYS NOT COVERED BY A THIRD PARTY COST OF PARTICIPATION IN CLINICAL TRIALS THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY A THIRD PARTY

GRANTMAKING: DISTRIBUTE GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT OHIO THAT HELP WOMEN AND MEN COPING WITH THE DAY-TO-DAY CHALLENGES OF LIVING WHILE BEING TREATED FOR BREAST CANCER. FUNDS ARE USED TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY LIVING EXPENSES (RENT, UTILITIES, FOOD), TRANSPORTATION, CHILD CARE AND MORE. THESE MONIES HELPED OVER 2,000 BREAST CANCER PATIENTS AT VARIOUS STAGES OF THE DISEASE.


EDUCATION AND CLIENT OUTREACH: REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE BREAST CANCER FUND OF OHIO ATTEND HEALTH FAIRS, CITY EVENTS, TRADE SHOWS AND OTHER PUBLIC EVENTS TO PROMOTE THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION OF HELPING OHIO BREAST CANCER PATIENTS WITH THE DAY-TO-DAY CHALLENGES OF LIVING WHILE BEING TREATED FOR BREAST CANCER AND EDUCATE VISITORS ABOUT THE IMPACT OF BREAST CANCER ON OHIO RESIDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.


PATIENT NAVIGATION: DIRECT BREAST CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO INFORMATION ABOUT BREAST CANCER AND RESOURCES IN THEIR COMMUNITY THAT CAN HELP THEM WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, CHILD CARE, UTILITIES AND MORE DURING TREATMENT.
