THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE EICOSANOID RESEARCH FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF THE LATEST SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION ON BIOACTIVE LIPIDS IN HEALTH AND DISEASE AS IT RELATES TO CANCER, INFLAMATION AND INFLAMATION INDUCED DISEASES SUCH AS CARDIOVASCULAR, DIABETES, PSORIASIS AND ALZHEIMER'S. THIS PURPOSE IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S BI-ANNUAL CONFERENCE. THE EICOSANOID RESEARCH FOUNDATION SPONSORS BI-ANNUAL CONFERENCES HIGHLIGHTING DATA AT THE CUTTING EDGE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE. DURING THESE CONFERENCES NEW DRUGS AND MEDICATIONS ARE DISCUSSED, DATA ON CLINICAL TRIALS IS EXAMINED AND SCIENTISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD INTERACT TO ENHANCE THEIR COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH EFFORTS. BI-ANNUAL BIOACTIVE LIPIDS CONFERENCE: THE ORGANIZATION HELD AN INFORMATIVE AND SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE IN THE FALL OF 2019 RELATING TO THE DISSEMINATION OF THE LATEST SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL INFORMATION ON BIO-ACTIVE LIPIDS IN HEALTH AND DISEASE, AS THEY RELATE TO CANCER.THE CONFERENCE SUCCESSFULLY PROMOTED THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS AND THEORIES IN THIS AREA AMONG SCIENTISTS AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AROUND THE WORLD, IN AN EFFORT TO FIND A CURE FOR CANCER. THE ORGANIZATION IS CURRENTLY IN THE INITIAL STAGES OF PLANNING THE 17TH BI-ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE SCHEDULED TO BE HELD IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA USA FROM OCTOBER 30, 2022 TO NOVEMBER 2, 2022. THE CONFERENCE THAT WAS TO BE HELD IN DUBLIN,IRELAND IN THE FALL OF 2021 HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
ANNUAL WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY LIPIDS SYMPOSIUM:THE WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY LIPIDS SYMPOSIUM ADDRESSES THE VITAL ROLES OF LIPIDS INCELLULAR PROCESSES REQUIRED FOR NORMAL PHYSIOLOGICAL FUNCTION.THE 7TH WSU LIPIDS SYMPOSIUM WAS SCHEDULED FOR MAY 13, 2020 IN THE STUDENT BALLROOM ON THE MAIN CAMPUS OF WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE EVENT WAS CANCELED.
