THE MISSION OF NEW LONDON CHILD CARE CENTER IS TO: PROVIDE A WARM, COZY, AND FUN ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR CHILDREN. WORK CLOSELY WITH EACH FAMILY WHILE HOLDING THE CHILD'S BEST INTEREST AS OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY. STRIVE TO HELP PARENTS LEARN ABOUT THEIR CHILD'S DEVELOPMENT AND UNIQUENESS. OFFER THE CHILDREN A WIDE VARIETY OF HANDS ON LEARNING EXPERIENCES. STRIVE TO BUILD A LOVE OF LEARNING, CREATIVITY AND FREE INQUIRY WHILE DEVELOPING A POSITIVE SELF IMAGE. THE NEW LONDON CHILD CARE CENTER SERVES FAMILIES FROM BOTH DES MOINES AND HENRY COUNTIES AND CURRENTLY HAVE 150 CHILDREN ENROLLED (100 FAMILIES) THESE FAMILIES USE THE CENTER ACCORDING TO THEIR NEEDS, WHETHER FULL-TIME, PART-TIME, OR DROP-IN. THE CENTER IS CURRENTLY LICENSED BY THE STATE OF IOWA, DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES WITH A CAPACITY OF 122 CHILDREN AGES 6 WEEKS THROUGH 12 YEARS OF AGE. OUR PROGRAMS: INFANTS & WEE-WALKERS: FOR CHILDREN 6 WEEKS TO 12 MONTHS (NON-WALKING) WITH ROUTINES BASED ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL FEEDING AND REST SCHEDULES. THE ENVIRONMENT ALLOWS THEM TO EXPLORE THE WORLD AROUND THEM AT THEIR OWN PACE, IN A SAFE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT. TODDLERS: FOR CHILDREN AGES 12 TO 24 MONTHS (WALKING) IN A TODDLER FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT THAT IS PERFECT FOR EXPLORING. WE PROVIDE HANDS ON LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT FURTHER THEIR COGNITIVE, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT. TWO YEAR OLDS: FOR CHILDREN AGES 24 TO 36 MONTHS WE CELEBRATE ACHIEVEMENTS SUCH AS POTTY TRAINING AND OTHER SELF-HELP SKILLS, IN A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THAT IS DESIGNED TO FOSTER THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE "WHOLE CHILD" PRESCHOOL AGE: FOR CHILDREN AGES 3 - 5 WHERE WE USE "CREATIVE CURRICULUM" TO CONTINUE OUR DEVELOPMENT OF THE "WHOLE CHILD". WE PLACE AN EQUAL EMPHASIS ON THE EMOTIONAL, INTELLECTUAL, PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD. WE HAVE CREATED A PROGRAM OF HANDS-ON, DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE LEARNING EXPERIENCES BASED ON OUR KNOWLEDGE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM: FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-12 WHO ATTEND BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL AND/OR SUMMER DAY CAMP. BOTH PROGRAMS ARE AWESOME. WE HAVE A HUGE ROOM PACKED WITH A TON OF FUN AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES. HERE AT NLCCC, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO RELAX AND HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS. ACTIVITIES, BOARD GAMES, CRAFTS, VIDEO GAMES, AND PLAY WILL FILL THEIR TIME UNTIL THEY GO HOME. DURING THE SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM, WE OFFER SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND FIELD TRIPS AT NO ADDITIONAL COSTS. EVERYTHING FROM MEALS TO TRANSPORTATION IS INCLUDED. WE ARE LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO CLARK ELEMENTARY SO PARENTS CAN'T BEAT THE CONVENIENCE AND KIDS CAN'T BEAT THE FUN


TO PROVIDE SAFE POST-PROM ACTIVITIES FOR NEW LONDON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
