CHRIST BASED MENTORING. ATLAS FOR LIFE REACHES OUT TO PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE IN NEED BY RECRUITING AND TRAINING CITIZENS TO ENCOURAGE AND MENTOR THOSE IN NEED. ATLAS FOR LIFE MENTORS LIFE COPING SKILLS, FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS, PERSONAL MONEY MANAGEMENT AND PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

CHRIST-BASED MENTORING WAS PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS AND COUPLES. MENTORING INCLUDES WORKING ON LIFE COPING SKILLS, FAMILY RELATIONSHIP AWARENESS, PERSONAL MONEY MANGEMENT, STRESS MANAGEMENT, RESOURCE INFORMATION, PERSONAL SUPPORT, LIMITED FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND PRAYER. IN 2021, ATLAS CONDUCTED 845 PERSONAL VISITS AND 198 BY ZOOM/TELEPHONE. ATLAS PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 1043 HOURS OF MENTORING. THERE WERE 32 NEW FIRST TIME CLIENTS AND 36 RETURNING CLIENTS
COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. ATLAS HELD SEVERAL EVENTS OPEN TO OUR COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDING TRAINING IN TRANSFORMATIONAL PRAYER, GRIEF SHARE, ALPHA COURSE, BIBLE STUDIES, COMFORT CARE, FINANCIAL BUDGETING CLASSES, BRAVE MOM'S CLASS,SINGLE MOM'S RETREAT, BREAD OF LIFE, WEEKLY TEEN PROGRAM AND A SPIRIT LIFE ENCOUNTER WEEKEND. 595 PEOPLE (SOME WEEKLY, SOME 1 TIME) IN THE COMMUNITY WERE SERVED BY THESE PROGRAMS. A NUMBER OF VOUCHERS WERE GIVEN TO THOSE IN NEED OF GAS, TAXI TOKENS OR FOOD. ATLAS SERVED OVER 285 WITH COMFORT CARE DURING FUNERALS AND 42 FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED WITH X-MAS GIFTS.
