NEWSLETTERS: PUBLISHED QUARTERLY NEWSLETTERS INCLUDING POSTAGE (FOUR NEWSLETTERS PRINTED AND MAILED TO ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP).
FBOA URBAN MANUFACTURED HOME PROGRAM: DESIGNED TO DEMONSTRATE THAT MANUFACTURED HOMES BUILT IN URBAN AREAS ARE ECONOMICALLY BENEFICIAL AND WILL NOT DETRACT FROM SURROUNDING PROPERTY VALUES. THE PROGRAM IS CONDUCTED IN NEW ORLEANS, WHERE THE CITY CONTROLS THOUSANDS OF HOME SITES THAT COULD BE USED TO ADDRESS THE ESTIMATED 30,000 UNITS NEEDED TO MEET CURRENT HOUSING NEEDS. BY LOWERING BARRIERS FOR POLICYMAKERS AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPERS AND BY COUNTERING NEGATIVE PERCEPTIONS ABOUT MANUFACTURED HOMES, FBOA HOPES THAT MANUFACTURED HOMES WILL BECOME A VIABLE OPTION FOR DENSELY POPULATED URBAN AREAS. BY DEMONSTRATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MANUFACTURED HOMES AS A HOUSING SOLUTION IN DENSELY POPULATED AREAS, FBOA WILL EXPAND ITS COMMITMENT TO REPRESENT THE COMMON INTERESTS OF THE OWNERS OF MANUFACTURED HOMES BY EDUCATING CITY LEADERS ABOUT THE PURCHASE AND MAINTENANCE OF FACTORY-BUILT HOMES.
