FRIENDS OF THE UPPER DELAWARE RIVER (FUDR) IS A COMMUNITY-BASED WATERSHED PROTECTION ORGANIZATION WITH AN OFFICE IN HANCOCK, NY. FUDR EMPLOYS FIVE FULLTIME STAFF MEMBERS WHO ENGAGE IN PUBLIC EDUCATION, POLICY ANALYSIS, AND GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING ON A VARIETY OF ISSUES RELATED TO THE PROTECTION AND RESTORATION OF THE UPPER DELAWARE RIVER WATERSHED. THESE INCLUDE EFFORTS TO PROTECT THE WORLD CLASS WILD TROUT FISHERY OF THE UPPER DELAWARE RIVER, IMPLEMENTATION OF ON-THE-GROUND STREAM REHABILITATION PROJECTS, DEVELOPMENT OF WATERSHED PROTECTION PLANS THROUGHOUT THE UPPER DELAWARE RIVER REGION, AND STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION INITIATIVES USING SOCIAL AND TRADITIONAL MEDIA.
