FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED 6/30/22:THE RESUMPTION OF OUR NATIONWIDE PROGRAM INVOLVING MEDICAL STUDENTS WHO PROVIDE SUN SAFETY INSTRUCTION IN SCHOOL CLASSROOMS HAS BEEN DEFERRED LONGER THAN ANTICIPATED DUE TO THE CONTINUING COVID-19 PANDEMIC. IN HOPEFUL ANTICIPATION THAT THIS WILL BE THE LAST YEAR BEFORE MEDICAL STUDENTS CAN ONCE AGAIN SAFELY GO INTO SCHOOLS, WE PLAN TO SEEK CURRENT MEDICAL STUDENTS WHO WOULD CREATE ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO BUILD UP OUR LIBRARY OF UV&ME EDUCATIONAL ITEMS, INCLUDING POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS, FOR DIFFERENT GRADE LEVELS. DR. ASHLEY HAS PREPARED A GUIDANCE DOCUMENT FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS THAT OUTLINES THE NEEDS AND EXPECTATIONS FOR INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS.OVER THIS PAST YEAR DR. ASHLEY HAS ESTABLISHED AN ONLINE HOST AND HAS CREATED THE FRAMEWORK, INCLUDING SITEMAP, FOR A COMPLETELY NEW AND UPGRADED WEBSITE AT WWW.SUNSAFETYFORKIDS.ORG. IT WILL BE SECURE AND DESIGNED TO BE USABLE ACROSS MULTIPLE DEVICE FORMATS INCLUDING SMART PHONES. NUMEROUS ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN DRAFTED BY DR. ASHLEY OVER THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, AND DOZENS OF IMAGES AND ILLUSTRATIONS TO ACCOMPANY THE TEXT HAVE BEEN COLLECTED. PUBLICATION OF THE NEW WEBSITE IS NOW ANTICIPATED FOR THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.
