CERTIFIED BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA), NYSAMP'S MEDIATION SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE IN EVERY COUNTY IN THE STATE. THIS FREE SERVICE HELPS ENSURE THAT DISAGREEMENTS AND DISPUTES THAT THREATEN THE ECONOMIC SUCCESS OF FARMS CAN BE ADDRESSED QUICKLY AND CONFIDENTIALLY. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2022, NYSDRA HANDLED 617 CASES.
AMERICORPS - COMMUNITY MEDIATION SERVICE CORPS:THE COMMUNITY MEDIATION SERVICE CORPS (CMSC) IS A PROGRAM WITH FUNDING MADE POSSIBLE BY FEDERAL AMERICORPS FUNDING THROUGH THE NEW YORK STATE COMMISSION ON NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE. CMSC PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITY DISPUTE RESOLUTION CENTERS (CDRCS) TO HELP CULTIVATE THE NEXT GENERATION OF COMMUNITY-BASED DISPUTE RESOLUTION PRACTITIONERS THROUGH EXTENSIVE TRAINING, MENTORING, AND DIRECT SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES. MEMBERS PROVIDE DIRECT DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICES TO THEIR COMMUNITIES IN THREE SERVICE TRACKS; SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES, YOUTH SERVICES, AND FAMILY AND CUSTODY VISITATION SERVICES. IOLA- THE NEW YORK STATE INTEREST ON LAWYER ACCOUNT FUND (IOLA):NYSDRA IS AN IOLA ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE GRANTEE FOR STATEWIDE PROGRAMS. THROUGH THIS FUNDING, NYSDRA SERVES TO INCREASE ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES LIVING IN POVERTY AND TO IMPROVE THE JUSTICE SYSTEM THROUGH ACCESSING FREE COMMUNITY DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICES.
