MEDIATION/ARBITRATION/NEUTRAL OVERSIGHT - FUNDS ARE USED TO PROCESS OVER 2,076 CASES AS RECORDED BY THE UNIFIED COURT SYSTEM IN AN 8-COUNTY SERVICE AREA OF THE 7TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT OF NEW YORK STATE; PROVIDING SERVICES TO THE COURT SYSTEM AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY; SERVING APPROXIMATELY 4,500 INDIVIDUALS; CASES RESOLVED WITH DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICES PROVIDED WAS 1,255. THE CENTER ALSO PROVIDED NEUTRAL OVERSIGHT TO 131 SURROGATE DECISION MAKING CASES, SERVING 131 CLIENTS.
TRAINING & VOLUNTEER COORDINATION - FUNDS ARE USED TO TRAIN MEDIATORS, ACCORDING TO THE NYS UNIFIED COURT SYSTEMS MEDIATOR STANDARDS, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE OUR CORE SERVICE AS THIRD PARTY NEUTRALS IN MEDIATION, ARBITRATION AND FACT FINDING; TO EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND STUDENTS IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION, MEDIATION, EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND MANAGEMENT OF STRONG EMOTIONS; TO PROVIDE TEAM BUILDING AND ENHANCED EMPLOYEE RELATIONS TO IMPROVE THE WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT IN BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS; SERVING APPROXIMATELY 350 VOLUNTEERS, STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS.
