WE PROVIDE A WEEK'S SUPPLY OF FOOD TO 55,907 LOW INCOME PEOPLE. DUE TO COVID, MANY OF OUR SERVICES WERE TRANSITIONED TO A DRIVE-THROUGH PROCESS. WE ALSO DELIVERED FOOD TO THE ELDERLY AND PEOPLE CONSIDERED HIGH RISK. THESE FAMILIES WERE ABLE TO TALK ONE-ON-ONE WITH A CLIENT SERVICE SPECIALIST TO RECEIVE ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND REFERRALS. THIS MAY HAVE INCLUDED HELPING THEM APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT, CONNECTING THEM TO JOB OPPORTUNITIES, PROVIDING INFORMATION ON RENT ASSISTANCE OR ASSISTING WITH A SNAP APPLICATION. CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES WERE ALSO PROVIDED. CLIENTS ALSO HAD ACCESS TO HYGIENE ITEMS AND DIAPERS FOR THEIR CHILDREN. CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS WERE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR A FEW MONTHS OF THE YEAR DUE TO COVID.

DUE TO COVID, EMPLOYEES WERE UNABLE TO COME ONSITE AT HEARTLAND HOPE MISSION FOR MUCH OF THE YEAR. HOWEVER, WE STILL PROVIDED UPDATED JOB OPENINGS AND INFORMATION TO CLIENTS THROUGH OUR DRIVE-THROUGH PANTRY PROCESS. WE ALSO WORKED ONE-ON-ONE WITH CLIENTS NEEDING ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE.

WE OFFERED BOTH AN ADOPT-A-FAMILY PROGRAM AND A TOY DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES THAT WERE NOT ADOPTED. DUE TO COVID, ALL TOYS WERE PRE- PACKAGED IN BAGS BASED ON THE CHILDRENS LIKES AND DISTRIBUTED ALONG WITH A CHRISTMAS PANTRY IN A DRIVE-THROUGH FORMAT. WE ALSO HOSTED A DRIVE-THROUGH JOB FAIR.
