THE 36TH SEASON (20-21) WAS ENTITLED ESSENTIAL BACH: LISTEN CLOSERTHE SEASON, PERFORMED REMOTELY THROUGH STREAMING SERVICES, INCLUDED 8 PERFORMANCES(DOUBLE THEIR REGULAR PROGRAMMING) TO EXPLORE THE WIDE RANGE OF BACHS GRAVITATIONAL PULL, BEGINNING WITH THE MUSIC FROM WHICH HE EMERGED TO DISTANT ECHOES FROM LATER ROMANTIC VOICES. WE PRESENTED 8 SYMPOSIUMS IN MUSICALLY SATISFYING VENUES, RECORDED BY THE MUSICIANS THAT HAVE BECOME OUR FAVORITE ARTISTS, AT THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE AUDIO AND VIDEO QUALITY, AND DELIVERED TO OUR MEMBERSHIP ON A MONTHLY BASIS. ARTISTS SCHEDULED TO PERFORM INCLUDE HELICON REGULARS; JENNIFER FRAUTSCHI, BEILIANG ZHU, AISSLINN NOSKY AND ILYA POLETAEV; RETURNING ARTISTS LIKE JOHNNY GANDELSMAN, RAMAN RAMAKRISHNAN, BETH WENSTROM, AND TYLER DUNCAN;AND NEW ARTISTS TO HELICON,INCLUDING THE EXCITING BASS-BARITONE, DASHON BURTON.
