THE ISLIP ARTS COUNCIL IS DEDICATED TO LEADERSHIP, ADVOCACY AND EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS BY PRESENTING, PRODUCING AND PROMOTING CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE, HIGH QUALITY PROGRAMS FOR DIVERSE POPULATIONS IN VARIED ARTISTIC DISCIPLINES. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL, STATE, FEDERAL AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS, THE GOAL IS TO FACILITATE THESE PROGRAMS IN RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY AND LONG ISLAND AT LARGE.

MUSEUM PROGRAMS - THE COUNCIL HAS AN AGREEMENT WITH THE TOWN OF ISLIP TO MANAGE AND ADMINISTER THE ISLIP ART MUSEUM (THE "MUSEUM"). THE COUNCIL IS PAID AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR ITS SERVICES AND IS REQUIRED TO PAY CERTAIN EXPENSES OF OPERATING THE MUSEUM.
ARTS PROGRAMS - PROVIDE PROGRAMS IN MUSIC GENRES INCLUDING CHAMBER MUSIC, JAZZ, CLASSICAL AND POPULAR TO THE TOWN OF ISLIP. THE COUNCIL HAS A LOCATION AT THE WESTFIELD MALL "THE GALLERY" WHERE ART EXHIBITS, IN-PERSON FINE ARTS CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS, EXHIBITED PAINTINGS, LIVE PERFORMANCES AND SPECIAL EVENTS ARE HELD. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED 56,245 IN DONATED SERVICES INCLUDING ACCOUNTING AND OFFICE SPACE.
