EACH PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO ENGAGE COMMUNITY MEMBERS, FOSTER A SENSE OF PRIDE AND RESPONSIBILITY, AND CONTRIBUTE TO ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY. HERE'S A DETAILED LOOK AT THE PROGRAM SERVICES AND THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS OVER THE PAST YEAR:1. COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS - DESCRIPTION: THIS INITIATIVE FOCUSES ON THE BEAUTIFICATION OF PUBLIC SPACES THROUGH PLANTING FLOWERS AND ORGANIZING CLEAN-UP DAYS. THE PROGRAM INVOLVES LOCAL VOLUNTEERS AND PARTNERS WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOLS AND CORPORATIONS. - ACCOMPLISHMENTS: - PLANTED OVER 500 FLOWERS, PARTICULARLY DAFFODIL BULBS, AND SHRUBS AND TREES ACROSS 8 PUBLIC SITES. - HELD 12 COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP EVENTS, WITH OVER 1,000 VOLUNTEERS PARTICIPATING. - IMPROVED 10 LOCAL PARKS AND PUBLIC AREAS, SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCING THEIR APPEARANCE AND USABILITY. SEASONAL DISPLAYS - DESCRIPTION: GREENWICH GREEN & CLEAN INSTALLS AND MAINTAINS SEASONAL FLORAL DISPLAYS, INCLUDING SUMMER AND WINTER HANGING BASKETS, WHICH BEAUTIFY STREETS AND PUBLIC SPACES. - ACCOMPLISHMENTS: - INSTALLED 112 HANGING BASKETS IN CENTRAL GREENWICH AND COS COB BUSINESS DISTRICTS. - MAINTAINED THE FLORAL DISPLAYS, WHICH RECEIVED POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM THE COMMUNITY AND LOCAL BUSINESSES FOR ENHANCING THE TOWN'S CHARM AND TRADITION. - ASSEMBLED GREENERY FOR THE WINTER THEMED BASKETS, USING THE SAME 112 BASKETS WITH OVER 50 VOLUNTEERS THROUGHOUT FIVE-DAYS LONG PROJECT.
