(JLH) IS COMMITTED TO ALLEVIATING THE IMPACT OF SYSTEMIC POVERTY IN THE GREATER HARTFORD REGION BY CONNECTING THE COMMUNITY TO EXISTING RESOURCES AND REMOVING BARRIERS TO BASIC HUMAN NEEDS. WE GAVE GRANTS TO DIAPER BANK OF CT AND JOURNEY HOME. TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY SERVICE AND VOLUNTEERING, WE SERVE MEALS AT LOAVES & FISHES MONTHLY AND SUPPORT SEVERAL EVENTS VIA OUR VOLUNTEERATHON AND DONE-IN-A-DAY PROGRAMS. WE HOSTED COLLECTIONS FOR FIRST AID KITS FOR HANDS ON HARTFORD, CLEANING KITS FOR JOURNEY HOME FAMILIES, HYGIENE KITS FOR COVENANT CARE, THANKSGIVING BASKETS FOR BOYS & GIRLS FAMILIES, SHIFTS AT FOOD & CLOTHING PANTRIES, AND MORE.ANOTHER FACET OF JLH'S MISSION IS TO ADVANCE WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP THROUGH TRAINING & LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.
