FARM FARMSTAND: LAND'S SAKE SELLS ITS PRODUCE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH A FARMSTAND LOCATED AT THE MAIN FARM IN THE CENTER OF WESTON. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING FRESH PRODUCE FROM MID-JUNE THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER, THE FARMSTAND REPRESENTS AN IMPORTANT FOCAL POINT FOR ACTIVITIES AND VISITORS AT THE FARM.PICK YOUR OWN: LAND'S SAKE OFFERS A NUMBER OF CROPS FOR PICKING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE ("CSA") SHARES: LAND'S SAKE OFFERS THE CSA PROGRAM IN WHICH SHAREHOLDERS SHARE WITH THE FARMERS THE BOUNTY AND RISK INHERENT IN GROWING FOOD. SHAREHOLDERS PARTICIPATE BY PURCHASING A SEASON'S WORTH OF FARM-RAISED FOOD BEFORE THE GROWING SEASON BEGINS. CSA MEMBERS THEN PICK UP THEIR SHARE OF THE HARVEST ON A WEEKLY BASIS DURING THE GROWING SEASON. DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF SHARE PURCHASED, THESE WEEKLY PICKUPS BEGIN IN JUNE, SEPTEMBER OR NOVEMBER.SUPPER CLUB: LAND'S SAKE HOSTS GOURMET DINNERS FEATURING PRODUCE FROM LAND'S SAKE AND OTHER LOCAL FARMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. EDUCATIONFARM-BASED EDUCATION PROGRAMS: LAND'S SAKE OFFERS VARIOUS IN-SCHOOL, AFTER SCHOOL, VACATION AND SUMMER PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO EXCITE STUDENTS OF ALL AGES TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY, OUTDOOR WORK AND TO FEEL COMFORTABLE ON THE FARM. IN 2022 THESE PROGRAMS LARGELY RETURNED AS IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES.FOOD FOR HUNGER RELIEF: EACH YEAR, LAND'S SAKE DONATES OVER $25,000 WORTH OF FRESH, LOCAL PRODUCE TOWARDS HUNGER RELIEF EFFORTS IN AND AROUND BOSTON ON BEHALF OF THE TOWN OF WESTON. IN 2022, LAND'S SAKE DONATED AN ADDITIONAL $126,071 WORTH OF PRODUCE TOWARDS HUNGER RELIEF FOR A TOTAL OF OVER $151,000 IN PRODUCE DONATIONS. THIS WAS APPROXIMATELY 31% OF THE TOTAL PRODUCE GROWN ON THE FARM IN 2022.
