CANINE BEHAVIOR OUTREACH AND EDUCATION VIA SHF'S SMILE! PROJECT. OUR CANINE BEHAVIOR BOOK CONTINUES TO BE RECOMMENDED BY VETERINARIANS, SHELTERS, BOARDING FACILITIES AND TRAINERS, AND IT RAISES FUNDS TO CARE FOR SHF SANCTUARY ANIMALS.
ANIMAL CARE, SANCTUARY MAINTENANCE AND COMMUNITY ASSET DEVELOPMENT AT SAFE HARBOR FARM. SHF IS HOME, AT ANY TIME, TO 15-20 DOGS, CATS, GOATS AND BIRDS, PLUS HUNDREDS OF FRESHWATER TURTLES. ITS 61 ACRES INCLUDES A 1-ACRE DOG PARK, 12-HIVE APIARY AND 2 MILES OF NATURE TRAILS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING GROOMED FOR COMMUNITY USE.
SHF RESCUES, REHABILITATES AND REHOMES A SMALL NUMBER OF DOGS. IN ADDITION, WE SERVE AS A FOSTER HOME FOR A SISTER RESCUE IN GREENSBORO, NC.
