TO ESTABLISH A COMMUNITY RECOGNIZED FOR RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP AND HUMANE TREATMENT OF ANIMALS BY OFFERING BASIC PET WELLNESS AND SPAY-NEUTER SERVICES, PUBLIC EDUCATION, AND PLACEMENT OF COMPANION ANIMALS.

ANIMAL CARE INCLUDES THE INTAKE AND RESCUE OF COMPANION ANIMALS (NEARLY ALL OF WHICH ARE DOGS AND CATS) FROM INDIVIDUALS, RESCUE GROUPS, AND OTHER HUMANE SOCIETIES OR ANIMAL CONTROL FACILITIES. THE ORGANIZATION ADOPTS APPROXIMATELY 1,500+ ANIMALS EACH YEAR TO FAMILIES IN NORTH GEORGIA. ANIMAL CARE ALSO INCLUDES AN ON-SITE RETAIL STORE TO SUPPLY NEW PET OWNERS WITH PRODUCTS TO CARE FOR THEIR PETS.
THE HEALTH PET CLINIC, ALSO REFERRED TO AS THE WELLNESS CLINIC, PROVIDES LOW-COST ANIMAL VACCINATIONS, PREVENTATIVE MEDICINES, AND BASIC PET TESTING FOR CANINES AND FELINES. APPROXIMATELY 25,000 VACCINATIONS/PREVENTATIVES/TESTS ARE PROVIDED EACH YEAR, PRIMARILY TO THE PETS OF LOWER INCOME FAMILIES THROUGHOUT NORTH GEORGIA.
THE SPAY/NEUTER CENTER PROVIDES SURGICAL SPAY/NEUTER PROCEDURES FOR ALL OF THE ANIMALS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF HALL COUNTY.
GIVEN THAT WE ARE A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WITH A SMALL STAFF, WE RELY HEAVILY ON VOLUNTEERS. EACH YEAR, MORE THAN 300 VOLUNTEERS DONATE UPWARDS OF 20,000 HOURS OF SERVICE GIVING HANDS-ON CARE TO ANIMALS, RAISING MUCH-NEEDED FUNDS, EDUCATING THE COMMUNITY, ASSISTING IN THE HEALTHY PET CLINIC, PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE AND FACILITY SUPPORT, AND MORE. OUR VOLUNTEERS REPORT EXPERIENCING A DEEP SENSE OF SATISFACTION FROM IMPROVING THE LIVES OF RESCUED ANIMALS WHILE WORKING ALONGSIDE OTHERS WHO SHARE THE DESIRE TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE FOR ALL ANIMALS IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA.
