ABALONE RESTORATION PROJECT - WE CONDUCTED 12 ABALONE SURVEYS. WE STARTED UP THE ABALONE IN THE CLASSROOM PROGRAM AGAIN. WE LECTURED TO 450 PEOPLE ABOUT THE GREEN ABALONE RESTORATION PROJECT TO CREATE AWARENESS. WE PARTNERED WITH THE OCEAN INSTITUTE TO CREATE MORE PUBLIC OUTREACH. WE CONDUCTED 8 SURVEYS TO ASSESS THE HEALTH OF THE KELP FORESTS AND THE RESULTS WERE SHARED ON SPECTRUM NEWS CHANNEL. WE PRESENTED OUR DATA AT THE WESTERN SOCIETY OF NATURALISTS CONFERENCE.
PISMO CLAM RESTORATION PROGRAM- WE PARTNERED AND COLLABORATED WITH AN INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF SPECIALISTS AND SUCCESSFULLY SPAWNED AND GREW PISMO CLAMS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY. WE HOPE TO CREATE A RESTORATION PROJECT WITH THE CLAMS. THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS WERE PRESENTED AT THE WESTERN SOCIETY OF NATURALISTS CONFERENCE.
AQUAPONICS: WE BUILT 3 AQUAPONICS SYSTEMS IN SCHOOLS IN ORANGE COUNTY PROVIDING LEARNING FOR 230 STUDENTS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. BEGAN WORK ON A LARGE ROOFTOP LEARNING SYSTEM FOR SANTA MONICA HIGH SCHOOL.
