A QUARTER BLUE (AQB) HAS TWO DISTINCT SIDES OF ITS WORK IN ORDER TO HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT IN CRIME PREVENTION AND RESTORATION FROM VIOLENT CRIME. AQBS TRAUMA RECOVERY CENTER OFFERS THERAPEUTIC AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO CHILDREN, TEENS, AND ADULTS WHO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY VIOLENT CRIMES AND SURVIVING FAMILY MEMBERS OF SUICIDE. AQBS EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICES OFFER PROGRAMS AND PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY EVENTS TO ENLIGHTEN COMMUNITY MEMBERS ON HOW TO PROTECT AND EMPOWER CHILDREN AND PREVENT CRIME. IN ADDITION TO EQUIP PROFESSIONALS IN EFFECTIVE TRAUMA-INFORMED INTERVENTIONS FOR SURVIVORS OF CRIME AND THEIR FAMILIES. AQB CELEBRATES THE HONOR OF BEING SELECTED AS A TRAUMA RECOVERY CENTER BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. THIS ALLOWED AQB TO INCREASE ITS STAFF TO INCLUDE A PSYCHOLOGIST, PSYCHIATRIST, AND LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER. IT ALSO OPENED DOORS FOR NEW COLLABORATIONS WITH OTHER NON-PROFITS TO BETTER SERVE COMMUNITIES THROUGH MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT AND CRIME PREVENTION EDUCATION AND INTERVENTIONS.
