HAWAII STATE SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR (HSSEF) HAWAII ACADEMY OF SCIENCE MANAGES THE HSSEF AND ASSISTS IN COORDINATING OTHER SCIENCE FAIRS FOR SCHOOLS IN HAWAII FOR APPROXIMATELY 6,000 HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS. SENDS TOP WINNERS TO THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR COMPETITION. THIS FAIR WAS CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY BETWEEN MARCH 15 - APRIL 17, 2021.
PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM FOR SCIENCE AND SUSTAINABILITY (PS3) HAWAII ACADEMY OF SCIENCE HOLDS SYMPOSIUM FOR APPROXIMATELY 100 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM HAWAII AND OTHER PACIFIC ISLANDS. PS3 WAS HELD VIRTUALLY ON JANUARY 16-17, 2021. STUDENTS PRESENT RESEARCH PAPERS IN A CONFERENCE SETTING WHICH ARE REVIEWED BY ADULT SCIENTISTS. PROCEEDINGS ARE PUBLISHED.
