HAWAII STATE SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR (HSSEF) HAWAII ACADEMY OF SCIENCE MANAGES THE HSSEF AND ASSISTS IN COORDINATING OTHER SCIENCE FAIRS FOR SCHOOLS IN HAWAII FOR APPROXIMATELY 6,000 HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS. SENDS TOP WINNERS TO THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR COMPETITION. THIS FAIR WAS CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY.


PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM FOR SCIENCE AND SUSTAINABILITY (PS3) - HAWAII ACADEMY OF SCIENCE HOLDS SYMPOSIUM FOR APPROXIMATELY 100 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM HAWAII AND THE PACIFIC ISLANDS. PS3 WAS HELD VIRTUALLY ON JANUARY 15-16, 2022. STUDENTS PRESENT RESEARCH PAPER IN A CONFERENCE SETTING WHICH ARE REVIEWED BY ADULT SCIENTISTS. PROCEEDINGS ARE PUBLISHED. TOP WINNERS ARE SENT TO THE NATIONAL COMPTETITION.
