THE PTA IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO THE SCHOOL TO BE USED FOR CLASSROOM FUNCTIONS AND SUPPLIES FOR SUCH PROGRAMS AS FIELD TRIPS;ARTS & SCIENCES;CULTURAL PROGRAMS AND MANY OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES. WELFARE OF THE STUDENTS IS PROMOTED.

THE REMAINDER OF PROGRAM EXPENSES ARE MADE UP OF VARIOUS ITEMS SUCH AS A SCHOOL CARNIVAL; ALL THE ARTS; FAMILY EVENTS; JOG A THON;YEARBOOK SALES CLASSROOM ENRICHMENT AND MANY OTHER EXPENSES ON BEHALF OF THE STUDENTS AND FACULTY.
THIS EXPENSE FOR ASSEMBLIES AND PROGRAMS BENEFITS ALL 796 STUDENTS. THE PTA ENHANCES THE STUDENTS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE BY HAVING SPECIAL SPEAKERS COME IN ON OCCASION AND PRESENT AND/OR DEMONSTRATE IN SUCH AREAS OF SCIENCE, ART, ANTI-BULLYING AND VARIOUS OTHER ACTIVITIES. ALL 30 TEACHERS OF THE SCHOOL HELP IN ACCOMPLISHING THE BENEFITS.
THE BOOKFAIR IS HELD EVERY YEAR TO ENCOURAGE ALL 796 STUDENTS TO BEGIN A READING PROGRAM. THIS EVENT BECOMES A FUNDRAISING PROGRAM IN WHICH BOOKS ARE SOLD TO PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED IN PURCHASING THEM. THIS ACTIVITY PROVIDES A GREAT DEAL OF ENLIGHTMENT FOR THE ENTIRE STUDENT BOBY TO BECOME MORE VERSED IN READING.
THIS PARTICULAR PROGRAM EXPENSE CONSISTS OF VARIOUS EXPENSES RELATED TO FIELD TRIPS TAKEN BY ALL GRADES OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. PURPOSE OF FIELD TRIPS ARE TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN SUCH AREAS AS ARTS AND SCIENCES; CULTURAL EVENTS; AND IN SOME CASES PHYSICAL EDUCATION EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES.
