PTA EVENTS SUPPORTED THE EDUCATION AND WELFARE OF 621 STUDENTS, PARENTS, 60 CERTIFICATED TEACHERS AND STAFF (INCLUDING SPECIAL ED, ELD, SPEECH, PE, COUNSELOR) OF THE WILLIAM L. VALENTINE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. PTA SUPPORTED AND/OR SPONSORED EVENTS FOR THE 21-22 ACADEMIC YEAR INCLUDED FALL FAIR, PUMPKIN PATCH, BOOK FAIR, READ-A-THON, HOLIDAY ORNAMENT PAINTING AND COOKIE DOUGH, ENGINEERING FAIR, JOG-A-THON, DOUGHNUTS AT DAWN, LUNAR NEW YEAR, REFLECTIONS, STAFF APPRECIATION, AND SPRING MUSIC PERFORMANCE. ADDITIONALLY, PTA CONTINUED THEIR SUPPORT THROUGH PROGRAMS INCLUDING DIRECTORY, HEALTH SERVICE SUPPLIES, HEART OF GOLD AWARDS, LOGO SPIRIT WEAR, PE SUPPLEMENTAL SUPPLIES, MUSIC PROGRAM, ART PROGRAM, RED RIBBON WEEK, CLASSROOM SUBSCRIPTIONS, TEACHERS WISHLIST, YEARBOOKS, AND LIBRARY SUPPLIES. TOTAL VOLUNTEER HOURS TOTALLED 37,188.THE 22-23 VALENTINE PTA ALLOCATIONS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED, AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE ASSOCIATION AGREED, TO ALLOCATE MONEY TO VAPA (VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS) PROGRAMS, 5TH GRADE BAND AND ORCHESTRA, SCHOOL-WIDE TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES, AN OUTDOOR KINDERGARTEN PLAY LAB, PBIS INCENTIVES, STEM CLASS ENRICHMENT, KINDERGARTEN PLAY AREA IMPROVEMENT AS WELL AS TO SPECIALISTS COSTS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THE 2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR. THESE FUNDS ARE BEING HELD IN THE VALENTINE ELEMENTARY PTA BANK ACCOUNT UNTIL FURTHER DIRECTION FROM THE DISTRICT IS RECEIVED, AND AN ART/MUSICPROGRAM IS PROCURED.
